Rack Arm systems provide optimal amount of daylight, minimising the need for artificial lighting and air-conditioner usage, through maintaining effective airflow and reducing overall solar heat gain. The systems use fixed support arms which hold aluminium / timber interlocking or overlapping slats which tilt from 0° to 90° by way of fixed, manual crank or motorised operation.

System Configuration
Rack Arm Systems are suitable for internal and external installations on a range of shaped glazing: rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal and circular.
External Installation
External shading systems can significantly reduce cooling loads by blocking solar radiation. An external system is strongly advised for all glass facades facing east and west because of the buildings’ increased exposure to direct sunlight. Rack arm blades are useful for their adjustable angles that optimise shading and lighting at varying sun angles. They can also be used to extended or create large outdoor areas, providing privacy and protection from sun and other weather conditions.
Internal Installation
Internal installation of Horiso Rack Arm systems controls natural light, heat gain and glare. This application is beneficial in residential spaces to act as a ceiling, functioning design feature or wall or in commercial (galleries/museums/libraries) where natural light is preferable. These applications minimise glare and, if required, achieve light blackout when fully closed.
